Plating & Coating of Stamped Parts
At Pentrate Metal Processing, and California Electroplating, Inc., we process a significant quantity of stamped metal parts using all of our different coating and plating finishes. In addition to applying black oxide coatings to components stamped from steel, stainless steel, brass and copper, we provide nickel, Satin, Bright, Duplex and Chrome (Hexavalent & Trivalent) plated finishes to stampings made from steel, brass, copper and aluminum.
We have strategically developed our operational capacity for maximum flexibility. One of our many ongoing projects involves applying a MIL-DTL-16232 Type Z zinc phosphate coating to ammunition components for a direct U.S. Government contractor. Parts are cleaned, coated, and tested for coating weight and salt spray resistance on a regular basis. We handle in excess of two million parts per month, and our automated processing line is setup to manage even higher volumes to meet spikes in demand. Computer controls ensure process stability and consistent results from one batch to the next.
Besides offering flexibility in terms of quantity, we are equipped to handle metal stampings delivered in almost any type of packaging. Our receiving area routinely manages parts delivered to us in everything from palletized totes to individually bagged items. On the back end, we package finished parts using egg crates, foam divided boxes, individual bags, corrosion resistant paper or bulk packing in boxes, totes, and pans. Our objective is to always provide our clients with high quality finished goods packaged in a way that is most convenient for them.
